  1. I think that the united states and other govnerments around the world should work together to come up with laws that would make it illegal to participate in human trafficking and slavery. United states can stop giving aids to countries that refuse to deal with this problem.

I think that kids in this country can stop buying goods like clothes and shoes made in these countries that force kids to work.

  2. I think that our government and governments around the world should make people more aware of what is going on. Ordiny people can help by not taking any part in this horrible thing.

  6. I think that the United States can help stop trafficking by finding out who does some of it and put them in jail. I think that individual people could help stop it by telling everyone they know to tell people they know about how terrible it all is and then hopefully someone will know someone who does it and finally understand how bad it is and tell the police.

  10. i think the US Gov. could stop human trafficking by doing more research and finding specific groups of people who do this and put them in jail.
i think that ordinary people could spread more info about it to other people, so that they are more aware of this.

  13. I think that countries all over the world should help provide information on human trafficking (groups, victims, etc.) and that the police force stand their ground and not accept bribes. i think that if the police and witnesses help stop human trafficking by doing what is right, we could actually prevent it from happening.

  14. I agree with Delia. People with information should speak up if they know anything.

  15. I also agree with Kate. If we research some of the major trafficking groups, we can easily capture the smaller ones along with them.

  16. I think the united states gorvernment should make the laws more strict. People are brought into trafficking very easily. These people should be put into jail. What I would do is have awareness groups that can help people notice more and raise money towards the making of the new laws. Maybe even the people who traffick people will finally understand that this is very bad and not the right thing to do.

  17. I also agree with Delia, the people who are doing this to innocent poeple should be punished.

  18. I also agree with Lynda, the government should raise awareness to the public about people being trafficked.

  19. i think that spreading the word about modern day slavery and trafficking is hugely important because if more people know about it, they will be less likely to be tricked into it.

  20. i agree with delia and lynda about making sure that people are put in jail if they are involved in trafficking, and i think one way of getting this to happen is to make police officers more aware of it so they can catch it if they see something suspicious.

  21. i agree with Maja about the police officers not accepting bribes. this will just encourage traffickers and say to them "The police don't care, so it must be ok" and its not.

  22. I think that to stop trafficking we have to go after the crime groups because they are causing this and other problems in the world. The government and police should work their way up, taking out smaller divisons of the crime groups leading up to the founders.

  23. @ Caitlin
I agree there are a lot of people being trafficked into the US and our government should really start to step it up because this is a very serious problem.

  24. @ Nia
I agree with most of what Nia says but I dont thinks its reasonable to completely cut ties with countries who refuse to deal with this problem because what it its a 3rd world country with large crime groups and a lot of poverty that would just make things worst. I dont think its just the US that should help as everyone is saying it should be a global thing like when countries come together and pledge to help each other and rid crime groups and trafficking in their country.
