The most interesting things i learned about christianity are:
ReplyDelete1.) First thing that i found interesting about christianity was that it is the largest religion in the world.
2.) Another thing i found interesting about christianity was that jesus had 12 apostles who had the Daily duties of regular people back in the ancient times including fishermen tradesman and Tax collectors.
3.) Last thing i found interesting was that judas an apostle of jesus betrayed him because of not zapping away the romans from there city.
A couple of key terms and concepts i had trouble with are:
ReplyDeleteZelt?-This is a key term that i think i also spelled wrong but i got mixed up if it was roman soldiers or Roman Hating Jews killers.
Jesus's first 2 Apostles?- I forgot the names of the two fishermen brothers who were jesus's first 2 apostles.
Three things that I found interesting were:
ReplyDelete1.Giving presents at christmas reflects the gifts(gold, frankensense, and mer) that the Three Wise Men gave to Jesus. I always thought it was just to be nice or something.
2.Mary was only 15 years old when she became pregnant with Jesus.
3. A lot of people were mad at Jesus and didn't believe he was the messiah because of things he would do like washing peoples feet.
The only miracle i can remember Jesus performing is walking on water. i dont remember any of the other ones. Also, i dont know how to define Martin Luther.
ReplyDeleteJulia, I also think it was interesting that Mary of nazarath became pregnant at such a young age of 15.
ReplyDeleteJulia, I also think it is interesting that some people think that jesus is not the messiah because he washed the apostles feet. I dont get why they think that and it is a little bit confusing to me.

ReplyDelete1)There are 36 miracles that are mentioned in the New Testament
2)People display lights during Christmas becuase it reminds them of the star of Bethlaham
3)John the Baptist called Jesus "Land of God"

2.) Jesus Christ was not baptized as a baby
3.) Christmas is a time of remembering the three Kings and the gifts they brought to Jesus when he was born
Some key concepts and terms I am having trouble with are:
- Five major teachings/lessons found in the Sermon on the Mount
- Martin Luther (having trouble defining him.)
@Meghan K, I thought it was interesting that there are 36 miracles by Jesus mentioned in the New Testament

ReplyDelete1. That jesus explained the old testament to the the wisemen of the temple when he was only 12
2. That Paul of Tarsas once persecuted Christians but then became close with the apostles and helped Jesus.
3. That Jesus chose 12 men that were average and not people who were better known in their town so that more people could listen to them.
Some key concepts and terms that i am having trouble with are:

- the new testament and the old ttestaments

ReplyDelete1) that the perfect time fore the Messiah was when the sival war ended
2)Jesus perforned miracles such as: cure people, restored a dead girl to life, turned water into wine.
3) that King Herrod ordered that all children of the age 2 and under must be killed.
questions on the study guide:
1) new and old testement.
2)why did many Jews doubt that Jesus was the Messiah.
